OMG! MY FRIEND CALLED AND TOLD ME THAT MY OTHER FRIEND WAS MISSING AND NOONE CAN FIND HER!!!!!!!! I AM SERIOUS!!! SHE SAID THAT MY FRIEND CALLED HER AND SAID THAT MY OTHER FRIEND WAS MISSING SINCE SCHOOL WAS OUT AND HER MOM CANT FIND HER AND THEN IM LIKE OMG WAT SHOULD I DO??? SHES MY FRIEND PLZ DONT INSULT ME IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ME BECUZ THIS IS TRUE I JUST GOT A CALL FROM MY FRIEND AND MY OTHER FRIEND IS MISSING!

Hmmm... interesting. If that's true, I'd be freaked out too, but I wouldn't post it on the Neoboards, heck, I doubt I'd post it on PPT. I would tell some of my online friends, though, but in private (like IM). Don't wanna go spewing out my personal problems to everyone, now do I?

It's fake. Don't believe in crap like that, they're are simply doing it for attention. I would never post something like that on PPT let alone on the Neoboards. And if it's true, than that person should smarten up and not spread it around Neopets. It shows how unstable and stupid they are. Two words, attention seeker.

Even if this is true, then there must be a nicer way of saying it. Currently, as that post stands, it's a flame agains the member who posted that. However stupid you think they may be, they are still a human being, and deserved not being ruthlessly insulted by someone who doesn't even know them.

I saw it's just a ploy for attention.

I feel the same way.
Once a guy posted that his step dad was trying to kill him and he was banging on the door. and a little later he said that he broke down the door and kept asking people what he should do.
For one thing why the heck would you post that your step dad is trying to kill you. and then he kept sayin that he was gonna jump out the window. Its just full of crap and all they want is a good laugh from the people that believes them.

It's a severe case of I-need-attention-now!

I got a strike and I was told as long as you don't attack another person on -PPT-, you can state your opinion, whatever it may be. A negative opinion doesn't mean flaming. If what Ammer said could even qualify as a flame, then it would be on the lowest scale of all flames ever. Bigger better flames would bully it and steal it's lunch money.

They probably are seeking attention. But like Matt said, you could say that in a nicer way.

This is why I cant stand people talking about newbies.

Of course that story makes me think this: Hypothetically, if I did have a stepfather and if he was trying to kill me, I don't think I'd waste time posting it. Instead I would be running for help. Hypothetically speaking of course, because I don't have a stepfather and he is not trying to kill me.

I see posts like that every once in awhile pretty much on every board I see, neopets or not. Mostly I'd agree with everyone else by saying they just want attention.

I think the people most hurt by this are those who really did lose someone like that... there are most likely a few people who did have a best friend go missing or something... and that Neoboards post could be construed as almost a mockery.

Also, though I agree there might be a nicer way to say what was said, I also understand the anger. There are a few not-so-bright people in neopia, we all must admit at least that.

I believe that's false. The person is most likely just seeking attention...

And sorry, if this hurts someone. I dont like stuff like that to be post. A year ago, a friend of mine posted that she was going to kill herself. Actually, she posted that in front of many of her friends. And then, the posts continued as that her mother found her...erm...and...

And she thought it was funny. I think it isn't necessary to say that she isn't no
longer a friend of mine, or those other people.

So, erm... That's one of those bad memories.
