Is there any specific Item that I need to equip to my pteri????

I just got challenged and I dont know what needs to be equipped or what will help/harm me...

Some good cheap items are:
Caustic Potion
Sticky Snowball
Downsize!
Leaf Shield
Snowglobe Staff

fully equip yourself with sticky snowballs. it's a cheap tactic but if you can last only 4 turns, you stand a very good chance

First of all, welcome to the forums. Tis a fun place around here. But there are a few things you should take a look at. Like this. It may be long, but it'll help out ^^.

Since you are basically asking for weapon advice, you should direct such a question in the Weapons Advice/Reccomendations Board (SPLIT!) board.
