After writing a nice long neomail to someone, I press my back button on the browser to check something - and when I came back to the page using the forward button, the message I typed was gone. :x This has happened many times to me on both firefox and IE. Is this just a flaw of neomail or what?

It's not exactly neomail...it's the browser itself =P

It's an annoying bug (or 'feature' if you please) of internet explorer. One of the reasons I prefer using netscape, it does remember textbox contents...

But this happens in both my firefox browser and IE, plus I never had problems with remembering form information before (as in when I press the back button then forward again, the information which I input would still be there). This only happens when I use neomail.

Best thing to do it Always Copy the next before you do that ,i've picked up doing it all the time now after i've had a few inccidents with Text boxes, if you try to remember not to copy anything else while you've got that done...which i've doen s well ^^;; it'l be good

That happens to me sometimes, it's usually because my temporary interenet files are full. I'd just clear yours, see if that helps. Of course, sometimes IE acts all weird on me and decides to refresh randomly, but it's usually due to my temporary internet files.

Control-N in internet explorer creates a new window, and allows that new window to keep your back-button history. Just make a new window and hit back next time :)

It happenes sometimes, also when you don't write a topic and send it, and then go back, the message is gone. What I do is just copy my message if I go back, just to be sure. I also do it here,

Happens to me all the time, especially when I write something really long on my Xanga... If you're using firefox just open up a new tab to type up neomails etc, so you don't have to bother with the back button. :]

It's definetly a neopets glitch. It used to be fine before they put all the new fancy stuff on it. This post for example works fine. I'm using IE and I can go back and then return and the text is still there. I can go back 3 or 4 pages then forward 3 or 4 times to the post window and the message I was typing is still there. Definetly neopets. The REAL nasty part is if you forget to put a subject! It stops you from sending and also the message you typed is gone! :x

Old versions of netscape don't do that. i'm sure. The new IE stuff does that. but it must have been neo who made it do that so blame them

I just tried that on this thread. Nice!

That always happens to me and I use Internet Explorer.

It isn't just IE. I get it on Firefox too. It's so annoying.

I can go forward and back in the neopets guild message boards too without losing what I've typed...
