You know how all those rich players get frozen? Well, you might remember that I got frozen unfairly some time ago. The thing was, I was not rich. My pets were not painted. The rarest thing I ever got was a Blue Evil Fuzzle. I never had more than 70k, and that took about a year. At the time it was frozen, it was worth about 10k, if that. So why did I get iced? I wasn't very well known. Weird.

I know why, it said I poted bad things on the chat boards even though I hadn't posted in ages. And I don't know why ANYONE would want my account, unless they were just trying to freeze me for "fun".

They freeze any account, whether the person had never played came on and scammed someone. They will freeze, no matter how much you have

Its not only "rich" people

If someone has got your pass somehow, they're not gonna care if you're rich or not, even if you only have 10k they'll rob you anyway. Most scams are only fallen for by poorer people anyway - the richer players are generally more aware, more careful and more experienced, so most scams tend to be aimed, sadly, at younger or less experienced players. Anyone who has played a serious mmorpg or similar before will already know what to watch out for, and what not to trust, so they prey on who they can.

I've been on for 2 years, and NEVER did anything that would even hint at my password. So either neo froze me, or a really smart hacker did it.

Well Neo froze you, because you said it tells you that you were frozen for posting inappropriate things. So either someone hacked you and posted offensive material (leading to neopets freezing you), or you posted something you thought was inoffensive but someone took offence and reported you (and neo froze you), or the autoreason is a coverup for another reason that isn't on their system.

Or, another possibility: someone took a dislike to you and reported you for some bogus reason--even though you didn't do it. In other words, made a false report that Neo didn't check out before taking aim at your account with their freeze gun. It has happened before (ask my daughter about the lunatic report-happy girl who reported her for scamming and in the end got frozen for too many false reports).

Don't feel bad. I refused a bad trade once and then got frozen because the person reported me and said I tried to scam them. TNT is really very irresponsible when it comes to freezing accounts without checking reports. They don't really give a flying fudge if you deserve it or not.

BTDT so I know this rather well. I got froze in a trigger happy moment one year after the Advent Calender as a multi account abuser on the ac... @ that time I had exactly 1 account... I now have 2 since I decided to invest in a gallery.

Do you have a friend IRL that's not very wise on neopets? I know someone I know IRL that's on neopets was going to report me for a joke. Thank goodness he didn't in the end...

You know I got frozen once for pretty much the same reasons. They said I was saying innapropraite things on the boards. To make a long story short...I was fighting in the battledome and was winning. My oponent decided they didnt want to make anymore moves becasue I was winning. 20 minutes later I was frozen for innapropriate lanugage when I hadn't been on the neo boards in 4 weeks and hadn't said anything to my oponent.

I did get my account back 3 weeks later...but you never know what will make people mad enough to report you on neo.

You know, I sometimes seriously wonder if TNT doesn't occasionally go around freezing random people just for kicks and giggles. Sometimes it seems like they do. <.<

XD If my laptop wasn't broken, I would so make a Flash movie of that.

I would love to see that ...I have wondered that myself, because it sure seems like it. We get more and more people every day who have no idea what they did, and, granted, some of them are just being stupid, but the others...well, you never know.
