I got an error while surfing PPT and Neopets and decided to restart my computer. When I opened my browser it showed I was in an account which I was not logged into when the error occured. So I hit login and got this (see above). Thats not me!!!!!

Thankfully when I went anywhere else (pet central) it returned to normal and showed me the proper information.


Any ideas of how this could happen?

That happened to me quite a while ago, and all the accounts I was logged on were portuguese. Odd? Yes. Although I had no malicious intentions, others may. So if it's happening again, I'm logging off for time being :\

Wow, scary. I suggest everyone withdraws their money 15 times and puts it back in the Bank to be safe!

Very mysterious. If it's only those two pages, it maybe a result of caching somewhere up your internet connection (it's unlikely that neopets erred sufficiently to fetch entirely wrong session / userdata for the two pageviews, and recovered on the next one). Then again, who knows.

Hmmm...two days ago, I logged on to my account to find that my favourite Neopet, my 2 year old, level 26 Grundo, neptoplutius, had been replaced with a crappy, few hours old Flotsam named Donnia something or other. I totally freaked out. I searched for neptoplutius and he was in the pound! And because he had obviously been disowned that day, I couldn't disown the Flotsam and readopt my Grundo! I freaked out even more. Luckily, I'm fast on the keyboard and logged into my mom's account, adopted neptoplutius (it cost +3000NP because he's a fairly high level), and then did a transfer the next day. Phew

So, after that story, do you think someone had accidently been logged onto my account and disowned my Grundo/created the Flotsam? I haven't noticed anything else wrong, but I changed my password anyways.

Over the past half year or so like maybe once or twice a week one page would show a username/NP/pet that I had never heard of, but by the time I went to a new page it was back to normal. I thought everyone had experienced this, so I was cool with it since it was just that one page so there wasn't any time to do any damage to anything on either end. This hasn't been mentioned before?

Wow. I just withdrawed from my bank 15 times..just in case. I wouldn't want all my prized possesions to be taken..

FYI: Withdrawing from the bank 15 times in a 24 hour period will make it so that you cannot withdraw again. The bank gets MAD! Some newbies might not know that. You can still depost money, however.

*goes off to the bank* I'm glad I saw this topic, thanks for making it. Wouldn't want my Baby Usul turning into a crappy old Flotsam...

*thinks* Remember when I had been on Neopets about... oh I'd say five months or so, I got an error similar that. I'd go to a page to see that I was "in" a different account, with different pets, then if I refreshed or went to another page, I'd be back in my own account. I haven't had that happen since though. I thought they'd fixed it... Maybe they did and it came back? A return glitch perhaps?
