One might say I'm somewhat new to the defensive battling scene. I've got the 125 defence boost, and I'm currently pairing Mask of Coltzan with Air Faerie Crown as the basis for a dual duty lineup. Can anyone suggest alternatives? As long as it's reasonable, cost isn't really an issue (Less than 15 mil)

You might consider bottle of magic sand. I don't know the current price however. A clawed shield would also be a nice addition.

I heavily considered Bottle of Magic Sand. I thought twice about it, though, because I've already got dark defence covered via Mask of Coltzan. Too much defence of a given type can't hurt, but I'm thinking there's got to be an alternative to dual duty dark defenders (Always avoid alliteration). Winged Scarab is one of the other weapons I've been considering, but the lack of attacking icons disturbs me.

It's true mask of coltzan is a good defence weapon against dark as well as earth. Bottle of magic sand is a good defence against dark and physical and attacks 10 icons. In my ideal defence set i would have both if I could afford them. It's good to have an option of attacking stronger and with different icons. Many times, after your opponent uses their hp, they have little ot no earth attack. Also, if someone is using a clawed shield against your mask, you have an option. Furthermore, if you are facing a SOS, using MOC + BoMS will greatly diminish their dark and physical attack. Good luck

I use a Mask of Coltzan and a Air Faerie Crown as well.
My pet's defence is at 165 and I'm hoping to reach 200 before the
upcoming plot battles.

Unfortunately there are hardly any good Attack/Defend weapons around.
I really hope Neo will make some more in the near future.
Most of the ones that do exsist defend against light. I haven't even been able to find any with a good attack that defend against, Fire, Water or Air.

The only one I can think of that has good attack and is affordable
is the Dusty Magic Broom. Attacks with 3
air and 5 earth. Only problem is it defends only against Light,
just like the Air Faerie Crown.

You should defiantly reconsider the Bottle of Magic Sand because
of the Physical defence. I want one myself but at 6 million it's
currently a bit out of my price range. And last time I checked
(a few days ago), there weren't even any for sell.
The two that had been up at the TP had both been sold.

I considered the broom for a while, but the icon range on AFC is too good to pass up. I, personally, think that they need to come out with something along the lines of a 6 or 7 icon weapon (common icons would be acceptable) that defends 5 icons standard of fire and air. That would be a staple in my set, and it seems to me that it'd cost just a bit more than Mask of Coltzan.

LOL I use them both too. I have the 300 def boost and it works quite well.
