Can't Put Music on my Phone

Mon Feb 18, 2008 1:58 am

I want to add some music I bought from iTunes onto my phone, and the only file types I can put on my phone are:

M4A
MP3
WAV
WMA

But all the songs I bought off of iTunes are MPEG-4 (Protected) files. Is there any way I can (legally) convert these to an accepted file type quickly and easily? (I have like 70 of them I need to convert)

Tricky. I use a disk that came with my mp3 player to convert them into mp3's. I think they sell the disks seperately though. o_O All I can think of is try and legally download them somewhere else on the net. I don't have iTunes, so I'm probably not that much help.

I'm not sure if there is a legal way to convert them. What I have always done is played the music on my speakers, then recorded it into a WAV or MP3 file using my mic. So if you have a mic (a headset probably wouldn't work well) that's what I would do. The quality would depend on the mic and it may be a bit fuzzier then the original track, but it would be very close.

Hope that helped.

We fixed the problem :) I'm glad there was a solution, otherwise I would've had to return my phone or buy all new songs :P
