Perhaps that's what the full moon was for. Fenrir knew they were in trouble, and wanted to pull off a day kill, but didn't succeed. We're rather lucky that he attacked Harry, thanks to his role.

Not really. That means he knows who Harry is... which sucks for the innocents and neutrals.

Yeah, but he may very well be one of the people up for execution. It wouldn't surprise me, it would make sense for him to try to sneak one last kill in before he dies. Even if the execution fails, I'm sure we've got an auror or two that'll take care of him.

EDIT: I just noticed...Kugetsu hasn't denfended himself at all today either, and he's been online. Perhaps he's the one who got the detention mentioned in the night scene?

Hmm, it doesn't strike me as logical. Fenrir can get a day-kill by summoning the full moon? But Fenrir is cannibalistic, and could maul in any form, so he should not be depending on the moon. Could be that the moon gives power to someone else... which could be positive.

Call me a softie but I hate it more when innocent animals die than people (that is, in films, books, ww's etc). Does that make me abnormal or are more people like that?

Just a question, in the whole HP series has there ever been a good Slytherin character?

Whoever said Phinneaus was good? O_o. I mean he comes from the Black family, come on XD.

But yeah, Slughorn was the only good Slytherin. The rest, well.. yeah :P

Aye, Dranzer is right. And I heard that JK was planning on putting in a sort of good (though abnoxious) Slytherin in one of her books, but decided to trash the idea.

I'd give JK more credit than just saying 'Slytherin are all Bad.' You only think that they're bad because most of them hate Harry, and you see the story from his perspective.

Phineas DID help Dumbledore, not to mention he wept when Sirius died, something many others did not.

He wept because Sirius was the last of his family tree, I think. Or he was the last direct descendent of the Black line or something like that.

And Phineas helps Dumbledore because he's an ex-headmaster and the ex-headmasters have to help the current one.
