Well your legs will get wet.

And then your feet will get wet because the rain will just go inside your wellies because the tops are uncovered and there's nothing on your legs.

Mm, nah. I've worn skirts in the rain before, I don't recall my legs getting that wet. Unless I don't have an umbrella.

Dude, you have no been in proper rain if you can wear a skirt and your legs stay dry.

I'd rather wear a skirt and have my legs get rained on than wear pants and get my pants rain-soaked. Skin dries faster than pants dry.

Oddly enough, i agree with you, but only from a strict utility standpoint.

I wonder if that's the real reason that kilts stay in fashion.

Cant be bothered to quote, but re the skirts in the rain thing - i pretty much live(d) in skirts and boots when it's rainy (and yes, i meant when i was in england too) - it's better than jeans when you get wet ankles all day!!! and your legs get no more wet than they would in trousers.

That's me holding my niece Mary Jane(born last night)--around me are my sister, my brother, and my sister-in-law(the mother). We make up five of the six people in the world with our last name(my other sister had to leave just a few minutes before). Mary Jane's full name has twelve syllables, poor girl. She makes up for the mouthful of names by being the most beautiful baby ever.
