The fur/hair on the hind legs are gone

The new one definitely looks better -- the legs aren't tiny dachshund legs, the nose isn't squished, and the feet aren't too tiny. The wings are bigger, too. The only thing I wish they'd done is left off that fur tuft in the new one and used the row of spikes from the old one instead -- that looks really cool. Oh, and I'd like it if the beaten and sad poses were different.

And the old one wasn't really a redraw -- all its poses aside from circle and happy were the old kougra pose painted purple with teeny wings and big claws tacked on, and some of them were awful:

It has yet to be confirmed but, around Mystery Island, you've seen the new city map place? Right? Rumors AND pictures have been floating around that there will be a new plot. The Lost City of Geraptiku, and no, it's not JUST thje market, the market is still there. Mystery disvered a new attachment area, and it got it. And along with it, possibly there could be the next part of the Mystery Island plot!! Will this be Neopet's war they've been talking about?!?! WHO KNOWS? Could it lead to Maraqua and Jelly Word? WHO KNOWS?

EDIT in reply to your EDIT: I've said it many times, but the Lost City will NOT be part of the next plot. I'm 99% sure of this. The next plot is Hannah and the Ice Caves. It would be silly to try and include the Ice Caves AND this new City in the same plot (also highly unlikely, since the plots are based around the TCG Expansion packs, and the Lost City will not be in the Hannah and the Ice Caves expansion pack).

I doubt it. Like I said, the plots are based on TCG expansion packs now. Geraptiku was in the Mystery Island expansion pack, and they already said that there would be no plot surrounding it (because we've just recently... well, recently in Neopets-time... had a plot about the Island).

Geraptiku will probably just be an add-on to the Island. Like Brightvale is to Meridell. Or the Deserted Fairground is to the Haunted Woods. Or the Ice Caves is to Terror Mountain. Or... well, you get the idea.
