Most likely the anime was based on the game. The anime started aired in Japan in October 2007 but the game has been around on the internet since April 2003 (KoreaMS) though there wasn't a english version of the game until May 2005 which was when GlobalMS was released.

I learned that the places where bats hibernate are called "hibernacula." How cool is that? (By the way, I learned it from the ProMED digest, which is an e-mail listserve regarding disease outbreaks in humans and animals around the world. Apparently there's a catastrophic mortality in bats in Western Massachusetts due to White Nose Syndrome -- this mortality will cause an increase in the population of many insects, causing rising food prices and arthropod-borne diseases.)

I just learnt that I have a family history of late growth spurts and strange body shape changes aswell as some sort of psychological related things.
Turns out my Dad went from being skinny and tall to Super Tall and 200 pounds of muscle and one of my brothers went from incredibly chubby to incredibly slim. My two other brothers have similar changes. Hopefully I've inherited that gene since I seem to be following the pattern that leads up to it all.

I've learnt that I can face my fears (Went on Spinning Whizzer at Alton towers. Heights, speed, spinning, free fall, backwards movement. All major fears) and NOT have a panic attack about it.

More importantly, I learnt that the key to me beating my personal demons is forgiveness, and that yes, I can forgive others for their sins unto me.
Now to work on making amends for my sins unto others.

I learnt that I should bet with teachers more often. I won 50 bucks easy!

I learned that dark berry mochas from Starbucks are very difficult to drink in Vente size from a straw if you are getting air instead of the drink. (Vente is the biggest size at Starbucks. Tall is small. Grande is middle.)
