"well, im off to bed." Shane said, walking tward an empty room. "who ever wants to bunk with me, just come in." He picked a bed, and sat down on it. It was a nice room, very comforting. He layed down, and looked at the ceiling.

(Should we pass some time? Or was something else going to happen? If so, what?)

((Sure. Nothing much else if happening, my characters' asleep anyway.))

Turai nodded. She had been staring out the window absent-mindedly for the past hour or so, and had realized that most of the people had left the room.

Quickly, she jumped to her feet and scurried to an empty room. Best not to be seen as "dreamy" in a strange environment... it could be interpreted as weakness.
For now, she had done a nice job at fitting in... but she decided that she needed to become a lot more intrusive...and quickly.

"Where's the bathroom?!"

Okay, I'm writing from another country so sorry if this is short >_>))

Laruna didn't have much time to think about what Iaran had said before the second quake hit. The sheer force of it threw her off her feet and she screamed, trying to decide whether she would run or hide or stay put. Something from the table under which she had fallen dropped onto her head and nearly knocked her out. Rubbing her throbbing temple, Laruna answered some strange, unlocked instinct from somewhere deep inside her mind and created a faint shield of light around her, wondering at the same time how she knew how to do it. Closing her eyes, she crouched in a ball and waited for the quake to stop.

After what seemed like hours, the noise and movement finally ceased. Laruna stood up and looked around for the others, hoping nobody had been hurt. A glance in a nearby mirror showed her that her head wasn't bleeding where the object had hit it, although a big blue-black bruise was starting to swell. Groaning, she tottered towards an empty room and only had enough time to take her shoes off before her eyes closed automatically and she collapsed, exhausted, onto the bed.

((Okay, maybe not so short...could we skip to the morning then? Actually, I may not have the chance to get on the net again any time soon, but yeah...))

Darin woke up, but didn't open his eyes. His head rested on Yelgan's side, since he habitually used the dog as a pillow. The husky snuffled at the boy's ear in an effort to wake him. Darin waved him away. Yelgan got up and let Darin's head hit the bed. The boy groaned and pulled the blanket up over his head. Yelgan hopped down, grabbed the blanket in his mouth and pulled it off the boy. Darin reached around to try and grab it back, then threw a small tantrum on the bed.

"Yelgan, it's too early," he whined.

The dog growled and gave three short barks.

"I don't care if it's 8 o'clock, I wanna sleep," he said.

Yelgan climbed up on the bed, put his forepaws on Darin's back, and rolled the boy off the bed to the floor. Darin hit the floor with a loud thump.

"Ow!" he cried.

The dog's tounge hung out as he smiled.

"What are you laughing at!" he said grumpily, getting up from the floor, "That hurt. Alright I'm up." he grabbed his shirt of the bed post and pulled it over his head, "Let's go see what we can do for breakfast, there outta be a squirrel or two around here somewhere."

Shane woke up at around 7:30. He tried to go back to sleep, but it was close to impossable. He got up, and found his way to the kitchen. He looked around for something to eat. Well, I might as well help our my self, im starving! He thought, while looking around for something to make for the rest of the group.

He finally found pancake mix, and began to meke pancakes. That was one of the only things he could make.

He finally made a big stack of pancakes, and it was about 8 when the earth boy walked out of a room. "hey!" Shane said, trying to be as friendly as he could. "i made you breakfast."

Iaran woke up at five past 8. She quickly selected a clean outfit and dressed herself before heading downstairs to the kitchen. Darin and Shane were already in there, and Shane had made a large stack of pancakes. Smiling sweetly, Iaran grabbed out a stack of plates, knives and forks, as well as some maple syrup, cream and jam. She also grabbed a large bowl of fruit, a jug of milk, a bottle of orange juice and some glasses. Setting it all on the table, she sat down and began assembling a decent breakfast.

"Thanks for making the pancakes Shane, saved me the trouble. Let's all dig it, we have a big day ahead of us."

Darin walked over and picked up the flat breadlike food with two fingers and looked at it curiously. He held it in front of Yelgan, who sniffed it for a moment, then licked it. The dog sat back on his haunches, head cocked to one side in thought. Then he leaned back forwards and took the pancake from Darin with one bite. The boy smiled.

"Well, Yelgan like them," then he frowned as he picked up another one and sniffed it himself, "What are they?"

Iaran giggled lightly, "they are pancakes Darin. Here, I'll show you how I like to prepare them."

Grabbing a pancake, Iaran laid it out on her plate and grabbed the maple syrup and cream, pouring out the syrup and scooping out cream, Iaran rolled it up tightly and began to eat it with her fingers.

"You can put whatever you like on them, they are very good, and sweet. I hope you like them."

Darin followed Iaran's example and tasted it. He smiled and started eating.

"Hmm, that's really good!" he said.

Yelgan gave a short bark.

"Alright alright, I'll make you one too," he said as he put another pancake on his plate and reached for the cream.

((i am going on vacation for a couple weeks. If someone could take care of Shane while im gone, that would be great. Thanks in advance! :D ))

Laughing, Shane watched the two eat. He put more batter on the pan, and made some more. While they were cooking, he grabed an alreay made pancake and ate it. "yeah, we have a big day." He said to Iaran. "so, whats the first thing we do anyway?"

Turai stumbled into the kitchen, her legs tightly crossed over. A pained expression crossed her face, and she tensed the muscles in her legs even more.

Screw ettiquette, she thought.

"Where the heck is your bathroom?!"

Kaila woke up, trying to remember her dream. It was a strange one, really, but she knew it was about the stones. Sighing she slid off the bottom bunk, and searched through her school pack. "Figures." she muttered, tossing it onto her back. "Didn't even bring a brush to school yesterday. Ah well. Iaran will probably have some..."

She glanced at the clock. It was about 7:45. "Early. Wonder what mom's thinking?" Then, stretching, she walked out the door.

Iaran blinked at Turai, suppressing the urge not to laugh. "Follow me."

Getting up, she walked through a corridor, and past a few doors until she reached on with a picture of a duck on it. "Here it is Turai. Sorry to have not told you where one was earlier."
