I heard that you see event messages by putting your cursor over the message, so I tested it..

.. The problem I see with that, is ALT doesn't work with Safari, and I don't think it works with Mozilla Firebird either. Is there any chance that you could add title="the message alt gives" to it? The title tag will show it, otherwise I have to view the source of the page.

Yeah, I've sent in a complaint about that (for the shops toolbar) before and they never did anything about it.

I've been playing neoquest 2 today and it just really is so annoying having to scroll down every turn, you can't even see the whole neoquest map without scrolling.

Is it possible that the neoquest banner could be removed on the actual game play pages and you could just have it on the main page? I mean we know what we're playing, and that way we'd have most of the screen for the actual game again.

I'm also really missing being able to see my username and how much np I have without scrolling. It makes me feel like im not logged in. Could you move it above the small advert maybe?

I think he's done for now as the bar is supposed to be released sometime today/tomorrow(?).

i think for the other layouts, they should be like avatars, you can get them on special/random events/places

and you could choose your layout below the choice of the language...

Yeah, I agree with the people who say the side ad and the username/pet stuff should switch. Everytime I look, I think I'm logged out and that always scares me.

My mom was looking over my shoulder while I was playing, and she said the same thing. She said, 'You can keep the ad if you want to, just take off the banner so you don't have to scroll down.'

Amneris's idea is a good one. On the front pages (Neoquest, NQII, Plushie Tycoon, etc.) have the banner, but on the secondary pages just take it off.

i've tried moving it around myself (in PSP) and put the username etc ablove the search box and below the clock, and it looks alright there (i can upload the edited screenie...

Okay... I'm still reading posts and catching up on everything that was sent to me since last night so bare with me.

Quickref and Lab are being fixed. Well, I'm trying a few different things and then we'll see how it looks.

Title was added to those event tags last night. It just hasn't been synced yet. I'll put it up shortly. I'll also add it to the shops bar since I saw someone mention it. Heh.

Currently, we're not accepting any new people into the beta. (If we do, it will be on an entirely new post.) PLEASE STOP PMing ME WITH BETA REQUESTS. However, the plan is to set up a feedback form specifically for comments relating to the redesign after it launches to the public, so we will still listen to anything you have to say and I'll probably still be up late into the night tweaking things in the coming weeks. So if you're not in beta, no worries. You'll still have a chance to give your opinions and we'll take them just as seriously. (After we wade through "OMG IT SUCKS I HATE IT" and "YOU SHUD HAVE A PICTRE OF ORLANDO BLOOM ON THE YELLLOW BAR!!!")

Also, I'm just the Code Monkey so I really can't repond to the banner and overall design concerns people are bringing up. But emails have been sent to several parties with your comments and lots of people here are giving feedback and ideas. Remember though, that bar section at the top is part of the overall nav. We can't just remove that whole thing on certain pages. So even if we did remove the actual banner inside of it on things like NQII, that yellow section would still be there.

Anyway, I think (from the preview Adamdearest showed) that the time colour needs to be changed to say, orange, yellow doesn't, in my opinion, suit it.

After having the bar for about 24 hours, I can honestly say I like it. It takes a bit of getting used to, but after you do get used to it, it's really nice. The only suggestion I might have is to swap the clock with the username/pet/np info so the player can see that more easily.

I LOVE the idea of themes for the sidebar but don't make it avatar style!! Its already stressfu enough to try to get as many avatars as it is but now get as many sidebars?? BAH! Maybe if they are extremely simple ways to get the sidebars like click then its fine but, have it avatar style? NO
