Same thing happened to me. I nearly wet myself, I was so rattled. It just came out of nowhere. I was the only person home, the noise was turned up...

The first time it got that stupid bird, I had my computer hooked up to my Stereo and was playing WWE Smackdown 5 with a friend of mine. When it screeched, both me and mireiend jumped back while sitting down, causing us to fall back. When we fell, he landed safely while I was pinned between my chair and closet door. We both laughed about it afterward.

The second time I got it, I was playing Halo, The Library stage (almost nothing but enemies at every turn). It screeched and I fired off every round of my weapon's ammo on Halo, which happened to be the Rocket Launcher and Shotgun (both rare in that stage). I felt stupid afterward.

Now I just spin it with the sound off.

On another note, I beleive the Beast has the highest chance of being landed on when playing the WOMo.

not only the beast, but being sent to the volcano. even MORE pointless! we should atleast "pick up a volcanic rock" or something, rather then being "told to leave". that would make sense.

Yea, I walked away to do something, letting it spin, when I came back I found that!

I spun it once, and ended up losing all my neopet's hitpoints! AARGH...So frustrating!

Is it just me or is The Wheel of Monotony just that.. boring? I mean, it's hard to win something good.. far easier to wind up with the pointless Beast and the more pointless rock that flattens your pets for half their hitpoints!!!

One time when I landed on the beast, I forgot I had my speakers on. So when it screeched, I was drinking soda. :shock: I nearly dumped the soda all over myself and the computer because it startled me so much.

The first time I got the Beast, I fell asleep on the couch waiting for it to stop. I forgot how loud I had the sound up, since I turned off the annoying "click clack click" of the wheel. It hit the Beast, and was so loud it woke my baby up THREE rooms down. Ugh. I alsways take the time to spin the wheel, since it's only 100NP, and I can easily minimize the screen, and get more productive things done until it's finished. But I'm wondering if I'll end up paying the equivalent of a Mazzew before I actually get one from the wheel.

I've never had the patience to maintain the wheel of monotany for more than about thirty minutes. Besides, it absolutely KILLS my internet speed.

I *just* got cable, so I symapthize, demonish. Even on cable, I can't keep WOM maximized and get decent speed on the flash games. I have to minimize it.
