Thats what I do when I transfer stuff around.. and im still here.
Dustin does the same thing I do - when I'm transferring things from my gallery back to my main account, I use the tp, set the trade up on the gallery, let it sit for awhile (about a week), by then I've bought something on my main for the gallery, then offer that as the trade.
I would not use the np in that other account and buy something out of your shop - I've heard people have been frozen for that.
Of course, you can get frozen for just about anything. But this particular account was someone else's, it was? on a different IP address. So be very careful - actually, giving an account away is against the rules.
What your friend probably should have done, if he wanted you to have the np and/or items, was before he quit slowly by using the tp sent you the np and items. Just keep enough np to keep the pets in the lodge. Never know, he may decide to come back!
