I would change LOTR... so it was readable. Seriously. That guy had no editor... the chapters ramble on everywhere and then some.
I'd cut it down to 300 pages. Good story- bad planning.

I'd like a book called "Santa Claus and The Laws of Physics".

Oh yes, I have plans.

How about 'Clan of the Cave Bear', that serious is just a vague excuse for an endless string of sex...

You know, there are children on this site. :P

I would kill off Ron in the fifth Harry Potter book. He was too annoying, anyway.

For that reason, I have never read it.

Unfortunately for you, JKR's said Hermione/Draco won't happen, period.

Please tell me you're basing that opinion off of the movies. Otherwise, I'll have to tape my mouth shut.

As long as we're changing Harry Potter...

I want him to die at the end of book seven. It's kill or be killed, right? Well I want him to be killed. I don't want Voldemort to win, I want Voldemort to die as well, they should just kill eachother.

Yep. I totally agree. It would be lame to have ANOTHER "hero is rewarded for ridding evil by living happily ever after story."

Yeah, I agree, I think that would be best.

I want more books to be made into movies. Anyways, that's not the point, in books I wish they would stop making the characters suffer..I know it makes the story more interesting but I can't stand to read it! T.T Why does the author make them suffer!?

So they can develop their character, so there can be a plot, a storyline, etc... I mean seriously, if there was nothing bad in books, we'd have A Series of Fortunate Events, in which Klaus, Violet and Sunny go to amusement parks and have the time of their lives... it's just... boring. Plus, then we'd also have "'We will *insert torture here* you unless you beg for forgiveness.' '*begs for forgiveness*' 'Okay, you're free to go, and here's your complimentary lollipop!'"

It's... not as good, y'know?

In the book I'm reading, A Game of Thrones, I would make it so Lady doesn't die. I cried. I just liked her, and Sansa loved her so much.

I would make Harry die in book one of the Harry Potter series, so for the rest of the 6 books they're talking to air and going... "Hey... is there something missing here?"

I'd find that funny.

I'd make Mercedes Lackey write better endings. Her books are fantastic and the characters have so much depth but the last chapter or so are often so anti-climatic I'm always having trouble picking up the book again knowing I'll most likely put the book down by the second to last chapter or sooner.
