This isn't a filter exactly, it's coding. I found this out about 2 days ago, when I went to someone's lookup and this music started playing (after it took almost 2 minutes! for the page to load). That's a big reason why I don't like music in shops, along with animated backgrounds or loads of animated gifs. If you're on dial up, forget it, just takes too long.

I don't know if this is really allowed. Only time and people getting warnings and/or their lookups cleared will tell.

Chaud, there isn't anything in the rules about no music, you're right. There also isn't anything written about not covering your userstats and now for some people shields. I've seen quite a few warnings/clearings lately for shields being covered, usually by using an opacity code that makes them "vanish". So yes, TNT can do something, even if it's not in writing. That's one of the things many of us have been asking for - a complete list spelling out exactly what is and isn't allowed in a complete T&C.

i HATE all the stuff people do to their lookups and shops. it often just makes them confusing and also makes them take longer to load (i'm on 512k dsl.... but thats not the point). plus, i hated music most of all... gotta love when you're listening to an mp3 on winamp or windows media player and then suddenly your song gets all messed up by some idiotic tune that people have put in their shop/lookup.

i was glad when tnt removed the music adding ability... and i hope they dont ever put it back.

I didn't like that either, especially when I was on dial-up. I also disliked it when most of those so-animated-it-makes-shopping-difficult backrounds that were in many shops.

Just out curiousity, does it hurt people to give credit for user lookups/html code they take from others?

Sad...

You know, that is something that really gets to me. Like seeing someone post one of those kind of inane "rate my lookup" and in the message saying they made it themselves. You view source and see that they couldn't possibly have done so. Then there's the people who don't give credit when there's a name somewhere on the lookup as to who really made it. It is sad, to say the least. Yes, I've had people use my lookups (free for anyone to use as long as credit is left on the lookup) and try to claim them or steal part of one and say it's theirs. Oh boy. I get so

That's cool but it will probably only be a matter of time before Neopets catches that and blocks it.Does it say anywhere that we really can't have music on our userlookups though?
