But you don't get wool from sheep bred for meat and vice versa.

I saw that story about how they could make salmon make trout. That was just weird! I wonder if they could make another big cat have some tiger babies? Or maybe they could make another kind of bear have a polar bear baby? Maybe they could make an elephant give birth to a rhino. I wonder how that would work out? Of course, it is different with fish. They simply lay eggs and they don't have to see what they've made. Another animal may reject a baby if it doesn't look right.

If it could save an endangered species, and the mothers would not reject their offspring, that would be wonderful.

Thankfully we have enough humans in the world, so hopefully they won't ever start making animals give birth to humans. They probably will though. It is much easier to take a human baby away from a pig or something than it would be to take it away from another human who decided she'll keep the baby herself even though she agreed to be a surrogate.

I wonder if any human would be willing to have a gorilla or another species.. to save the species? Some people are very dedicated to saving a species, but that is just...ick. In one way I think it could be a noble thing to do, a beautiful thing to do to be willing to save a species like that. But people would just be creeped out by it, I know I would.
