Haha, if you mean real name as in the one that shows up on your ID, I only have my chinese name on my ID. My english name, which i go by at work (since most non-chinese who try to read my chinese name mangle it) is violet. I actually like my chinese name though.

I acquired the name violet as a joke, a sort of play on my chinese name, when i was 16. A malay teacher I had asked all who didn't have an english name to give themselves some sort of nickname, so its easier for her to pronounce, and well, the name stuck. So you can tell who i met before and after 16 by what they call me, family and school friends I knew before i was 16 called my by my chinese name (my parents still can't remember my english name most of the time, which is fine, as most people call me on my handphone), and class mates from after 16 + everyone at work knows me only as Violet. :p
