Ask them if they have an instant messenger to tell you exactly when they're putting the pet in the pound. I did a very successful transfer the other day for Powahflare, and that was done over MSN

if you lose your pet in a transfer again, and need neopoints to pay, i have 750k to lend, and in no hurry to get my neopoints back. (i dont play neopets much and i have nothing to save up for )

transaction involving pets can actually get you frozen. something should be done about these opportunistic pound-sitters soon. they rank second on my hate list.

Here's a idea. Why don't you find a group of friends that you trust with high speed internet to sit in front of the comp to help intercept the pet next time the pet is released into the pound. That will raise the chance of the pet ending up with someone you know.
