Problem with a Spam board would be that many people would be posting topics and it'd be hard to mod, so innapropriate topics could be posted. At least Word Games and Contests has a theme.

You could just make something like 'Offtopic Thread' or something in WG&C... That would be fairly easy to moderate. ;)

IMO, you shouldn't look at Misc. Discussion as an off topic board. If you start thinking like that, you'll start thinking of it as a spam board - which it's not. There's many threads there that are interesting, and contain a lot of well thought posts.

Another example (one of several), is the Homework Help thread. It's pretty useful, and many people use it, but it wouldn't really fit into any other boards.

...Or I could just be rambling.

Nah, you're not rambling. It makes perfect sense to me. You can also think of Misc. Disc. as 'General Chat', or basically a forum for things outside of Neopets that don't fit into any other forums.
