I was close to tears at the end of Order of the Phoenix and The Two Princesses of Bamarre. I was exceedingly depressed at the end of The Amber Spyglass as well.

I don't think there have been any books that I've cried in, though. Except maybe the end of Gone With the Wind. :P

Oh...A Child Called It. I read it in school, and I was sitting there trying not to completely lose it. I couldn't put it down, though... (I had a really lousy teacher for English and social studies...he didn't care what we did.)

I'm afraid to read it. I remember when my mum read it, and I heard her talking about it. And I don't think I'd be able to get through it without losing it.

Oh, gawd that book was horrible. Our teacher read it to the class in the first grade, more than half of us were crying.

It wasn't so bad when I read it myself the second time. Still had tears in my eyes, though.

"Queen of the Damned" by Anne Rice. It's an astounding piece of literature. My ex and I both cried when we read it. Might be a little too much for some of the younger readers. Not only is it a long read, but it has some language as well.

"Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. It's just plain sad.

"Fall on Your Knees" by Anne Marie Macdonald. It was an Oprah's book club book. I know, I know, sounds cheesy, but I picked it up anyway, and it is a GREAT read.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This is my all time favorite book. It's just awesome.
