I picked up a Christmas Paint Brush there today. First awesome RE I've had in a long time. I can't wait for the advent calender too, it's so fun waiting in expectation of what we'll get. Just over a week to go!

In the newest issue of neopets magazine, there is an article about the Advent Calendar, and it says a few of the prizes this year will be

Snowager Statue
The Neopian Times Annual (book)
Christmas Shoyru Plushie
A New Avatar (yay!)
Kreludan Christmas Carols (book)
and
Red Draik Egg...then it says "Only Joking"

Pah! That sure would be nice! Oh well, maybe that means the Pant Devil will keep his paws(?) outta the Advent Calendar this year!

It also mentioned that the prizes will probably change a few times, like they did last year.
I'll be really steamed if that happens, usually a nice prize gets switched for a bad one.

I think the Advent Calendar really is a "sweet spot." I got a Christmas Paint Brush there this morning and a Super Icy Negg last week, and every time I refresh there I get something within 20 refreshes, even if it's just "the great ice treasure of 206 Neopoints" or whatever. I never have that luck anywhere else.

So if you refresh the Advent Calender... Most probably you're gonna get frozen???

If you refresh at the Advent Calendar, you may get various Random Events, such as the Snow Beast Battledome challenger, or a Christmas Paint Brush.

TNT isn't going to freeze people for refreshing. =P

Just got my first random event at the Advent calendar...240 nps. Is this a once a day random event thing, or can you just keep refreshing all day if you wanted, with more events? Also, this is my first re since the down time.

Random events are that, random. The chances of getting an RE increase the more you explore the site, so if you refresh a lot on one page, the chances of finding an RE are increased.

The advent calendar thing seems to work only once per day. Maybe if you sat there and refreshed for ages you'd get another RE, but the "within (approx.) 20 refreshes" thing seems to work just the once.

One of those fun grey areas where it never quite mentions it being illegal in the Terms and Conditions, but there have been stories of being frozen before.
