Bingo. That's exactly what I do. I tell them to play games, and which games to play, and I give tips. I tell them where all the dailies are, inform them on how to sell scratchcards. I remind them about bank interest, and even give a few restocking tips.
I make it clear that it's impossible to get rich over night.
My boyfriend just started playing Neopets, and he knows I'm rich, but thankfully hasn't begged me for any NP. I've given him about 20k, and some items, but that's it. He complains about not having anything, and I just give him the same tips I give everyone else, and keep reminding him that no one gets rich overnight, and that he's going to have to slowly work for it, like I did.
These people need to learn to make it on their own, and not rely on donations and gifts from people that
do make it on their own.
I don't have a problem with new people not knowing how to play the game, or how to make NP. I have a problem with the people that continually whine and complain, and refuse to even try to make it on their own.
