Execution:
Typhoon giggled mischievously. His façade had been thrown off by Kugetsu and there was no need to disguise himself as a scared, suspicious innocent any longer. Of course, being a revealed villain, his life had been drastically shortened. However, he was more able to commit dastardly deeds and scare the remaining innocents with his shows of power. Already, Kugetsu had been fed his just desserts and was now tossing and turning his grave. Kugetsu’s death had been very satisfactory. One minute, Kugetsu had been writing up a news article about Typhoon’s deception and villainy. The next, he lay grotesquely still with Typhoon dashing from the scene. Now, as daylight approached, Typhoon hid eagerly in a tree trunk. If the innocents couldn’t find him for execution, he wouldn’t be executed. Simple as that.
Also, that executioner lady would probably not tell everyone where he was even if she knew. She had started off with the interests of the innocents at heart; gradually, however, she had transformed into some crazed, chaos embracing persona. He passed the time in the tree trunk, imagining what he would do to the innocents who were his biggest opposition. However, after all the excitement of the night before, he slowly fell asleep.
“Typhoon, you’ll pay for killing me.”
Typhoon awoke with a start. Why were these terrible nightmares haunting him? Villains don’t have nightmares about people they killed. A little perturbed, Typhoon poked his head outside the tree trunk to see if daylight had begun, signifying execution time. He noted with some satisfaction that execution was almost there and would soon end. However, as he began to retract his head, he heard a whisper: “Your end is near, Typhoon….”
With a shriek, he ran from the tree. He kept running until he accidentally ran into a patch of sunlight from daylight’s approach. He shrieked as a vicious pain swathed his entire body. Shrieking and no longer in his right mind, he raced randomly about – pain dominating any rational thought. Somehow, he ended up in the same area as the executioner and the assembled creatures were leaving the circular room.
“JUST KILL ME,” he pleaded.
“As you wish.”
Flames engulfed him and sent him to a bitter end.
*Typhoon was Executed. He was Louis de Pointe du Lac a known cohort of The Theatre des Vampires.
