I have once. I was helping my friend transfer her pet. But she didn't have enough neopoints out to get the pet! And when I tried to adopt the pet back it was too late. The person who adopted the pet was under 13 too.

I emailed TNT about it (we were newbies and didn't know it was against the rules) and they did respond basically saying "tough luck." Thankfully they didn't freeze us!

Every other time I've transfer has been by myself and I've only failed once, but the person was nice enough to give her back.

...It wasn't a green Kougra was it? XD

Once I failed, when I was transferring my own pet to another account. I realized at the last second I didn't have enough np, and then when I got it it was gone.
Luckily I got him back.. after paying a hefty sum to the person who picked him up. :x

The one I lost? No, close though; it was a red kougra. The one I lost and got back was a blue wocky.

I've only transfered pets twice, and both times were successful.

Phew! I adopted a green Kougra from the pound once... and then when I got neomailing rights I got a neomail from someone saying that the Kougra was supposed to go to someone else... but I got the neomail after I had already painted him spotted and increased his stats loads.

The only important pet that I lost was a cloud ixi, neo just lagged when I tried to transfer. Btw, I've already did several successful transfers with painted pets (including a draik and a krawk).

No, simply because I have never tried to transfer a pet. ;)

Yup, I lost a White Grundo of mine. :( I was using it as a lab ray pet and tried to switch it to another account and someone snatched it up so quick. -sniffles- I rather enjoyed that pet too.

I've never lost a pet transferring; haven't tried it before. Phew, must be quiet saddening to lose one, especially if it's loaded with stats and all fancied up.

No, I've never tried. It's too much of a risk, really, and I'm happy where all my pets are now.

I keep transferring my pets b/w my accounts for various reasons and I have never lost one.

I log on to the different accounts in Opera and IE, then used the direct link method (its in extra tips section of ppt). Usually, you need a very fast connection speed for it to work.

But I can understand where people wouldnt want to take the risk. A friend of mine for awhile would stake out at the pound, adopt painted pets, and charge if the owners wanted them back. She grew out of it though.

I once lost an Eyrie while transferring.

It wasn't super-powerful or a good colour or anything, but I still wanted to keep it.
