no, but really, there is no "otter" neopet.. it is.. a neopet. like... is an aisha a cat? Is a yurble a bear? ive never seen a cat or bear that looks like that before... and i dont think well see an otter or weezel that looks like that.... its a new specie of neopet.

Just like a kau is a cow, a lupe is a wolf, a uni is a unicorn, a gelert is a dog and an elephante is an elephant (I could go on), this is an otter -- just like the editorial said. It has the more rounded face of an otter as opposed to the pointy nose of a weasel, not to mention the otter's thick swimming tail.

Whatever it is I'm getting one. And it had better not be lim. edition. My accounts are all full, I like what they are (except the one I've been planning from the beginning to turn into a Draik) and the account I tried to get ages ago hasn't been activated yet because they never sent me a stupid e-mail. Which is probably best because that account would be full now and I wouldn't be able to get any more.

and there arent really any neopets exactly like any real specie... otherwise they wouldnt be as fun! I mean, a kau has stripes and huge long horns... a unicorn isnt even a real animal.... and gelerts have ears that whip people! If neopets says its otter-like, thats cool Its not "an otter" because they dont have huge claws, curly tails, and such.... but its a rendition of one anyway... with different parts taken away and added to it. So its like many animals. It doesnt have to be any specific animal.

There's no such thing as a "weezel."

Of course we don't mean a kau IS a cow -- I mean, they didn't take a photo of a cow and stick it in our userlookups. But it's quite clearly based on a cow, is what I'm saying. Some pets are harder to figure out than others (bori, yurble), but lupe and kau and mynci and koi and elephante are all pretty straightforward. Just like this OTTER pet!

Omgomgomg~ I've been waiting FOREVER for them to release a pet like this! I wanted a Neopet that looked like each of my RL pets! Now my ferrets (even though it's an otter/weasel/whateveryouwanttocallit) can be represented! *dances around happily*
