Which way do you lean politcally?
Mostly conservative 14%  14%  [ 11 ]

I believe that the Democrats are on the political center, not left. . . . and it seems to me you may agree with that. I'm reminded of the following from a recent post by Michael Wong at his SD.net forum:

Im registered as Democrat, and Im fairly middlish. I look at things from a common sense perspective, and try to be as logical and unbiased as I can. Sometimes I end up agreeing with conservatives, sometimes liberals. There are certain issues that Im absolutely far left on, and less issues that Im absolutely far right on though.

...Politics are quite confusing, aren't they?

Is there anywhere I can find a simple explanation of all these different terms?

Well, certainly you can do as I would and look 'em up in Wiki or a more reliable source that you may find through Google, but I have found a useful topic at the SD.net forum titled "Political terminology thread" that I hope you may find useful, too.

It fails to take into account that politics isn't "Left or Right" But rather "Left Right, up Down and off the Z axis*

I'm probably of the Z axis I'm afraid (I say Z axis, because I don't recall ever being given the Political term for it) Being that I'm selfish.
If it helps me, it's good, if it hinders me, it's bad.

Most people would say Im so left that I barely have a right buttcheek.

However, my family leans to the right for reasons of economic security and stuff--more beneficial.

As for my views, I'm a red-blooded, conservative republican Southerner. I used to like President Bush, but I think he's moved too far to the left, especially with all of his big government spending. Still, better him than Kerry.
