I don't really look at a persons set. Unless someones like had the set for a billion years and then changes it, thats about the only time I'll get confused.

Although sometimes, I go pass the user who changed their set and start looking desprately for that user. Then I go back, and feel like slapping myself on the forehead.

I always just check the username...regardless of sets...so I never really get confused [a little bored maybe that it doesn't constantly change so that I have something shiny/sparkly/different to amuse my mind but that wasn't the question right?]

I actually tried confusing people once by using the sets I created for other people with their names in it...but nobody was confused...which totally ruined the fun in confusing other people

Sometimes, especially of their set was something that they used for a loooooooong time or that stuck out amongst the rest, because then I'm all like, where is blablablah?

I'm pretty new, so everything confuses me

But on other forums, most people stay with one set, which I usually recognize them with instantly. When they change it, I'll have to do a double-take, but then I just remember the new set. Strangely I do recognize people that constantly keep changing their sets without looking at their name first.. Perhaps because they stand out more :p

I guess it kinda depends on the population size... Here at PPT I can only recognize people by their name, but on smaller forums I get used to sets easier

Not really. Most of the time people have their usernames in their signatures, and even so I usually look at usernames first anyways.

I've never actually quite had a set. I put a different line in my signature space every once in a while, but I've had the same icon since I've joined. Which was, like...Three and a half years ago. O_O

Hmm, it doesn't bother me, as I'm one of the people with the changable signature (Go on, refresh the page a couple times, I've got like 10 on there)

The thing is, the avatar isn't interchangable, it changes once in a blue moon, and I usually revert to something I've had in a signature previously.... oh yeah, and the blue stars help I suppose.

Actually, there's some people.. that I don't know, their names just pop into my mind, when I see it, I remember the person, but there's others that I reconize by an avatar or signature that I see everywhere, but never really noticed the person himsel/herself. and when they change their sets, sometimes it takes a while before noticing its the same person, hehe. Changing my set soon --> Dont get confused!
