theres no way to give money back so it must be a glitch. its good that you sent the bug to neopets, that way the cant accuse you of trying to cheat the game. hold on to the items until neopets contacts you and dont spend that 100k (or well keep 100k at the ready).

did the girl neomail you back? and do they still have a functioning account? it might have been that the person got frozen but who knows.

I agree, if she clicked "accept" then the site takes care of exchanging things, she wouldn't be able to give back the np's. Good suggestion to have the 100K and items available and to have sent in the bug report. Good luck! Would you let us know the outcome, please?

That happens to me too, what happens is when you have an offer on more then 1 trade all the trades that get accepted before the last one don't go through and you get your stuff and NP back. I've sent like 100 bug reports on it.

Well, I finally got a message back from the girl I traded with. She got the water mote AND 100k. I got the 100k back and all the items she offered. This is odd, and feels very much like cheating (although, I did nothing intentional).

I'm just annoyed that TNT never responsed to my bug report. I'm nervous about putting the items in my SDB in case they need to do something with my account. I can't put the money back into my bank account. I want to make a few more trades (I'm trying to collect Secret Lab Map pieces). However, I feel like I can't make the trades or buy the items in case TNT *does* decide to do something. The last thing I want is to be frozen, if even temporarily, because of a glitch in their programming.

theres a thread addressing the glitch and I think neopets knows about it now, but its still a good idea to hold onto these items and dont make a move. hopefully it will all be sorted out soon.

I emailed them a week ago and still didnt get a response I dont how long it takes to get an answer back. But I emailed them again just incase. I dont want them to forget about me and I dont wanna give up until I get an answer saying that Im not getting my account back for sure.

And I was thinking about that inapproppriate message. What if it was a typo and I didnt realize it? They would keep me frozen for that? I really hope not. English is my 3rd language so I make typos now and then.

It'll take atleast a month, but email them again every now and then anyway.

I just wish TNT would acknowledge my bug report. I hate having all the stuff I got from the trading post in my inventory - as well as having the np on hand. Ugh. I really want to start buying more Secret Lab Map pieces... but I'm too freaked out about being frozen.

That's exactly what I meant when I talked about misunderstandings. This is why it would be a good idea to ask politely what it is that you said and that you feel there must be a misunderstanding. Explain to them when you last used any feature where you can input text and the location (country) you normaly use neopets from. This way they can also try to figure out if someone else logged into your account and used these features maliciously.

Please try to be patient though and make sure to be clear in any mails you send. Always try to wait a week between sending an email as it could be that they are particularly busy. Don't give up if you really feel you've done nothing wrong, but don't get angry either. TNT won't give an account back to someone who is abusive (not saying you are, but a lot of people come across that way).

Well I made a new account. It feels weird starting over from the beginning and not having anything. But I just miss my pets the most. I wish I could get them back at least. Oh well.

Still didn't get a reply from TNT but I will wait a little longer to email them again. Im not very hopeful anymore though

I'm sure they have alot of emails to sift through. Just give them a little more time. It seems like alot of people are being unfairly frozen lately so I'm sure they're department is busy.

I still havent gotten a reply from tnt about my account and it is now Sept.

I had all my accounts frozen about three weeks ago for "neodating" inappropriate language etc. My accounts were 4.5 years old and the other two friends of mine who were frozen had accounts that were 6 and 7 years old. I have pursued getting them back, but it seems hopeless.

Although I can see after the fact that they interpretted some of the things we said - in neomail only between people who are real life friends and in a real life relationship - as implied sexuality, they were not in my view. *hugs and kisses* etc. and they were very mild - and not posted on any boards. "Wish I could give you a hug" etc. The overall messages were just normal RL stuff. Reading their terms and conditions I just had NO IDEA this type of stuff was what they meant. I was thinking of truly harrassing, dangerous things or trying to meet people for dating on Neopets, etc. Obviously we weren't harrassing anyone, or presenting any safety issues and already all knew each other from Non neopets. We are all well over 21 I might ad and in the same long term adult only guild.

SO my issue with them is - Neopets has an enforcement division but no real customer support. No one cared that we were all long long term premium members with years of warning free play. Our accounts were very valuable by Neopets standards and of course personally (I had 13 pets over 4 accounts). They froze all our mains and sides immediately with no warnings. Yes we got responses and they told us what we had said - and that they are not unfreezing - but I still feel like I really had no idea that was included in their terms, and also felt a warning made sense here if they didn't like what we said.

They promote friendships with guilds, neomails, neofriends, etc. - and give the impression that neomail is semi private. All the things on the TERMs use the word "post" which makes you think of boards and guilds, not neomail. And the actions they describe are pretty extreme - hostile and harrassing, pornographic, pets dating, dating service, etc. none of which we were doing or would even THINK of doing.

I think a site like this should be interested in educating users when they make a mistake and giving a second chance to people who have been there for a long time an obviously try to follow the rules. A simple warning would have definitely solved our problem because I honestly did not realize what I was saying was a violation. I can understand freezing for confirmed reported harrassment or preditory or x-rated behavior, but this wasn't even close. There was no danger at all there. And then when I see some of the ads on the site that are far from G-rated - well it really does make me mad.

At this point I am interested in pursuing this issue in general further, although I have little hope of them returning my account. I would very much like to hear from other people who have been frozen and feel they lost long term valued accounts. I think Neopets needs to treat their customers better and revise this system that leads to a climate of fear on the site as well.
