I may get fired from one job because of not learning fast enough, but I'm okay with that. They taught me a little in the brief time I've been there, and if I should happen to dodge the bullet, cool. If not, it's all good.

There's a TS bearing down on where I live. NASA closed already (right where I live). My husband's company and another major company in the med center area closed until after the storm passes.
What does my company do?
First it send out messages about how they're cleaning the roofs. Then one about how Housekeeping, etc, will still be available and that the place will be open tomorrow, but that we should power off our computers, coffee pots, lights, etc. Because since we're all expected to show up to work tomorrow, that'll be very helpful and all.

I am NOT driving down to the med center by myself, especially in a TS in small Honda Civic. Odds are the Metro buses will be shut down.

ETA: Finally. Some sense has apparently been kicked into my company, because apparently 4 minutes after I left work, they announced it's closing until Wednesday.

Edit again: Happy. I'm sitting in my cozy house, eating hot food and enjoying the sound of rain outside. Oh, and I got to sleep in.

Happy, incredibly happy. I actually have a couple days off for the first time in 12 days. My co-worker went on vacation so I had to work everyday. I did about 47 hours last week.

Painfull. And angry.

I got braces on my bottom teeth yesterday. And I've already had braces on my top teeth for 6 months. My orthodontist said "Oh, well I guess we'll put braces on her bottom teeth. They've been ready for a while though." WHAT? I COULD'VE HAD THIS DONE LIKE 3 MONTHS AGO? what the heck!

Not to mention I've already been having ortho done for like 3 years already.

Aww, I sympathize. They made me wear a hinge and top braces for a year, then the hinge came out and I had top and bottom braces for a year. And THEN, as I was sitting in the chair(after 45 minutes waiting for someone to actually come help me) on the day I was supposed to get them off, the orthodontist says "Let's get one last X-ray done! Oh, look, you've got those wisdom teeth you weren't supposed to get! Guess we'll keep you in braces for another year and then not fix anything!" And then I had to have my wisdom teeth out last year anyway.
To this day, I can't look at a packet of those little elastic bands to connect upper and lower teeth without shuddering. They made me put them on canine-canine, molar-molar, and molar-canine ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Anyone want to guess why I hated playing the clarinet?
....Okay, clearly I have a lot of remembered trauma with orthodontic work. I'll work on this.

Anyway, I'm hungry.

Not good at all. Unable to stop thinking about my future, unable to see anything (plausible) but so much despair. Wanting to escape, never have to go through it. And not what I do now. Enough.

Don't want to stay here, don't want to go home. Just feel so bad cause there's nothing happier than anything else. See?...
