Angara leaned closer to the water to try to examine the sparkle. Suddenly, a bright flash enveloped her vision, she became disoriented and fell into the lake. A strange current drifted her deeper and pulled her towards the bottom. She could see the sparkle and clasped her paw around it in the moment her vision cleared before everything went dark. The kougra sank to the bottom of the deep end of the shore. She lost consciousness when her head hit an underwater rock and drifted.

Keith knew what was happening when the darkness orcame them. This had happend once before in the beginning. He remembers the stories his grandfather had told him over and over again. Like a book they were engraven into his mind. He feared what would come next as the legend was to repeat itself.

Slowly Keith got up still sore from his fall. He was dreadfully thirsty and walked over to the shore to get some cold refreshing water, then somthing cought his eye. What's that? It couldn't be, but it was, lying their drifting helplessly down the water toward the rigid waterfall. Without thinking Keith went into the water as is continued to get more ridged. He grabbed the Kougra, dragging her to the shore to safty. Just as he reached the bank he put the kougra on the ground landing on her side so the water would not choke her. While doing so a branch fell off the tree knocking keith out. He to lie their unconscious in the darkness.
