Same thing happened with the old PPT (before we lost the old database and started from scratch). The old PPT broke the record last year with almost 500 users online--it was during the time period that Neo was down for 2-3 days in late October. There were so many people on that there were many times that I couldn't get on. I would get an error message saying that too many people were accessing the database. Ah, the good old days.

Nope, that's new. It used to be the goldy image. ^_^

On the upside, I've noticed I haven't been logged out yet... but I wouldn't bet on the site being back up before morning in Cali.

me too! it's frustrating not knowing whether they're fixing a glitch (which could take a while) or simply updating the site (which wouldn't take so long), we're always just left guessing.

Damn, I've grown tired of this many times before. Does it really take that much effort to put a notice up that says the site will be down for matinence?! Back in 1999 and 2000 they did :x

I wholeheartedly agree. And how long has the Down for Maintenance page been saying, 'Oops! Sorry, just a technical problem we should be back very soon' ? :roll:

Ah, someone probably spilled some coffee on a server. Actually, I would rather have it down if it is a nasty glitchy thing that they can fix than have it up and have things start disappearing on us again.
