Yeah, I mean, I thought they were cool and some fonts did look really pretty, but when I was using my mac, I could never see them. I'm not terribly glad they're gone, but it will be easier to read the boards now.

ps-I wonder what all those font making guilds will do now? LOL well, you still can be highly creative with what we do have, so maybe they won't be entirely out of business.

The world rejoices on this day...the deaf of annoying glowy fonts was something that needed to be done. Not that it really mattered on my part I use Mozilla, inpervious to glow fonts.

The really entertaining thing about this is the avatar chat boards - they're still full of people threatening to quit and spam report TNT blah blah, and it'll probably continue for some time yet.. I still see boards lamenting the loss of general chat :/

What would be even better than deleting the GC board and getting rid of those two font effects, though, would be getting rid of all the annoying people who used them irritatingly, but I don't suppose that'll ever happen. Can you imagine though, Neoboards like the PPT forums, full of intelligent people? Ahhhhh *drools*

yeah..some monitors are probably applying the rules literally..if the rule says "no contest", they probably disallow contests of any kind, regardless of its nature.

that said, shall we write to complain that they disable white fonts as well? it gets irritating having to highlight those invisible messages

Some people have actully formed a group on the Neoboards called PHP and are protesting the font change. I've even seen people using white fonts as a protest.


Finally it sinks in!!!!

I admit to using a purple glow once in a while.. but that was back when I used IE instead of Mozilla... Back when I had popups and such, not to mention those sneaky cookies I hate so much..

I hated the stupid glowy fonts, with the little clappy smilie at the end that made the [already illegible] words freakin' moving targets. Now it takes no skill to read a 5 word post in under a minute. :D Well actually I've been using Mozilla for the past...... long time... so the glowing hasn't affected me in a while except when people used white/yellow base fonts. Though I'm being kind of hypocritical, because my font was bold white with a very thin purple shadow underneath and a thin green glow above... was very pretty, and made it look like it popped out of the page at ya ^^ Looked awesome... Whoa got a little carried away there. Bottom line: HURRAY.

tehehe, i think tnt must be listening or something, because white font is now disabled as well, i just popped into my guild to post, and my font color was white last night, and now its black, as is everyones who had a white font color with glow, and no white fonts on the neoboards either that i can see *or maybe they have learnt*

Without the newbs, the monitors would have time to actually LOOK AT THE POSTS we make, before they unjustly freeze us... It starts a chain reaction... Oh, I love it. ^_^

... not in our neolifetime I think I'm happier about no white neohtml than I am about the glow. Yes, alot of the glow was unreadable, but having to click or highlight to read a post gets old real fast. I stopped replying to questions when I'd click on a post and see that "invisible" font.

You actually bothered to do that? I just skip over those I can't read.. It's too time consuming and not to mention not worthwhile in many cases to highlight each stupid post. So, skip... But white's gone too? Much better. Please, please, New Member, protest the change by getting off the boards..
