Images. The map mostly. I'm running a nice Swedish broadband, and NQII was never a problem in the past, but with the new fixin's the map loads at a snail's pace. Most of the time I find myself moving around "blindly" during NQII...clicking the arrows in the "general direction" I am heading since I don't have the patience to give each page a full load and only wait for a full page load when I neeeed to check the map, it really is going very slow for the image load which wasn't a problem in the past.

Also today when I just got on Neopets it seriously took me about three minutes for the entire sidebar to load, and I'm on DSL. I was tempted to give up on Neo for a while and come back later, but once it loaded it wasn't too bad, although it does seem slow to me still.

For the the sidebar loads slow around evening time, but it's the norm for me since my cable connection tends to lag starting from about 8pm..

but the main thing I am not getting loaded are the smilies on the neoboards, and random small images here and there. (E.g. 3 out of 4 of the kitchen quests items load.. the 4th item shows up as a red x.)

It seems to go on and off.. sometimes they load, sometimes they don't..

I'm having massive problems with Neoquest as well. It started with just being slow, then Rohane and any other added feature to the landscape wasn't loading, finally none of the map would load.

Now the toolbar isn't loading and only images I have as cookies (at least I think this is the case) are loading. For instance, I can't see any of the images associated with today's news.

The text at the bottom of windows says that it is trying to load the images, but I'm on a very fast network at my college and it has been loading for nearly 10 minutes now without sucess.

Edit: The images just came up as red Xs.

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

Perhaps the low page counts have nothing to do with the graphics being slow-loading, but instead are the cumulative result of the following: the non-Neopets' ads on the new toolbar (particularly ebay, which people were frozen/warned in the past for even mentioning), the outraged Aussies over the gambling issues, the unfair freezings and warnings that have happened lately, and Neopet's strict policy of no compensation for glitches that is finally catching up with them. Just my opinion, of course.

It would make great bundles of warm, fluffy, fuzzy difference if they just made NQ III a Flash game that stored a record of all your accomplishments on a heavily encrypted file on your hard drive.

Yes, but that's easier said than done. Plus, that would require the user to download files onto their computer, and as far as I know, there aren't any games that require you to do that on Neopets.

Yes, the entire pages have slowed down for me too, the images won't load, but I've been steadily ignoring that and clicking at the same pace as usual.

Adam, could we PLEASE have the choice of turning those banners up the top to static HTML images? Pretty please with asparagus on top?

Still, pages are loading for me just fine, but then again, I am on a cable connection...

Yeah, but you open a whole can of worms for TNT... corrupted files, viruses, etc... I have to admit, it would make NQ2 alot easier though.

New problem. Now whenever I'm on Neopets, the screen keeps flashing, like a sort of mini-refresh, but not. It seems like every time a frame passes on the top banner, everything flashes. :-\

Wierd... I'm not having that problem... are you on dialup, simsman?

Nope. Roadrunner. And it's worked great all day. Then I went to Neopets a few hours ago, and it started flashing. On PPT, it's not. On LiveJournal, it's not. On [insert other site I went to], it's not. Could just be my computer. No wait. It probably IS just my computer.

I don't know, I'm having massive problems loading any image on the site. If page veiws are related I must have overdone my quota, not underdone it. I'm getting really annoyed I haven't been able to play for several hours now.
