Exhausted, lonely, restless and a bit confused....

Longish Rant:

My company went through a merger less than 6 months back, we were the little guy, but the bigger company approached us and offered really good terms, which they unfortunately failed to deliver.

So after the rounds of renovation and letters to clients and fund transfers and seemingly endless rounds of admin items and resulting backlog, most of those from my former company, with the exception of my direct boss, decieded to leave with about 2 weeks notices, which resulted in lots and lots of frenzied file packing and even more admin and increasingly late nights (with my mother staggering up when i return home to complain about my late night returns at 2 am) plus increasing degrees of nastiness between the management and those who were leaving. And then there were the assumption that i was leaving too, and all the endless resulting questions from anyone and everyone I meet in the lift from the various departments ARGH....I hate hate hate office politics!

It was really disheartening towards the end, we're all just out here making a living, just why do we have to make things difficult for each other?

Now they've finally left, and I'm going to be transferred to a new department with my boss, I hope they'll be nice.... I've been running on adrenaline, I think I need to go sleep for a couple of days.....

Feeling anxious and scared because of what happened at my school. A student in my year was caught selling drugs to another student. The student who sold the drugs was expelled and the other student was closely monitored and taken a drug test. I was freaked out when I knew this. Looks like that the police have to be involved.
