A pipe burst in the wall of our stairwell last night. Thank goodness I'm a light sleeper, and the neighbor was willing to get up and help us find the shutoff valve. If the catalytic converter was one and this is two, can we count um... um... *anything* as three? That's enough, right?

That sounds awful, Siniri! Water damage can be horrendous. Hopefully, they have the dryers working 24/7 to get all that moisture out and prevent mold growth! A giant ion generator might be a good idea, as well as the fans to kill any mold that may have started growing.

Having no matches today most certainly counts as the 3rd... right?

"They"? The landlord might be able to get a plumber tomorrow... Meanwhile, I'm borrowing a couple of dehumidifiers and a fan from neighbors and friends (oh, and toilet-flushing water for when we have to flush).
