How big is the rock he tripped on?
Average sized for these rocks. :P

Yep!

Did the man die from broken glass on the ground?

Did his head fall on metal spikes/barbed wire/stakes on the ground? oO;;

...Did his head fall on a metal fork sticking upwards on the ground? @.@;

I was thinking more of the "Hollywood Sign" in L.A. but Mt. Rushmore sounds more plausible.

Actually, now that I consider it, this place happens to be on every continent other than Antarctica. But he only happened to be in this place in Europe.
