Angara giggled quietly when the Eyrie mentioned the snot rope. She didn't mean to, but the situation just seemed very unreal to her. Now our easiest way back up has become difficult. What is going to happen next? This just gets stranger and stranger.

"Um, I'm not sure if we can use that rope. It looks very slippery now." She raised her voice so Karen could hear her. "Can you see another way, since you are above us or is it too dark down here? You are at a better vantage point to see our situation than we are."

"Oh, it is too slippery...ok" Karen said, as if someone had stabed him in the heart. "Well when Ebenezer comes back I'll ask hime for one. Sorry, you'll just have to wait."

Angara noticed the sad note in her friend's voice. "I'm sorry, Karen, but it was an excellent idea." She beamed an encouraging smile up at him, not sure if he could see her or not. "Thank you for trying!" The Kougra looked around for anything that could help their situation.

Firestorm and Stimpy had been quiet during the entire snot-rope ordeal, but now the spotted Kougra spoke up. "Well..." He said. "Stimpy and I could get back up by climbing the fallen tree again, but I don't know how we'd get the wounded one back up..."

Angara thought. "Hmm, if only we could form some kind of stretcher to rest between our shoulders, we could carry her up on that. We could use Karen's rope, but we'd need two long posts and some kind of material to bind between them." Angara expressed her idea back up to Karen and Ebenezer, to see if they saw or had anything on hand that could be useful.
