I chose Five-Finger Discount (Discount of 10% applied when haggling at Neopian shops).
I haven't used this boon before. I don't really do a lot of buying so I don't know how this will turn out.

Good luck, Daze! I guess you'll be trying to buy this week... So it works by taking 10% off whatever price you haggled down to? Sounds interesting. I used to restock a bit in the quest shops, especially the ones that inflated a lot during the FQ events (so the ones with fewer items), but that was before the shops cleared periodically, only a few items were given out in dailies (vs. more randomness now), and there were more players (causing more inflation), and fewer restockers proportionally (more serious players are the ones who stuck around, so some items actually deflate because there are so many people trying to sell them during the event vs. regular times, when quest items are marginally inflated anyway because of cookies). It's still worth doing for some of the shops, but since the quest event just happened, it'd be a long time before payoff.

It's more of a grind than a huge return (I had a spreadsheet tracking prices, and I updated it during the quest event to get to know which items were the ones I should aim for), but when the shop restocked, I could often buy 3-6 items at once, and one or the other of the quest shops was restocking every few minutes. For shops like grooming/smoothies/books/collectable cards, I would average a few hundred NP/item (so ~25%-100% profit rate). Clothing and magic could be more lucrative, though with more items now, that's probably less so (and I restocked most clothes at the secondhand shoppe for free). But if you can take 10% off the haggle price, that would increase those margins significantly!

(I don't have the patience/computer speed/time for "real" restocking of rare items.)

I went with the stock boon. Easy teasy if I can remember to buy everyday. Which is not a given. But day 1 is down.

Went with the stock boon. I've missed buying stocks at 10 for this last week. Really hoping it's an option for CC this year again!

Regarding last weeks boon choice...blah! I didn't feel like using it. I had a really weird week and it isn't getting any better.

But hopefully this new round will see me good. I have cookies as well. Order it is!

Joined in time, and have already gotten some battling done. May ore may not do more, but I've already done more than my usual, so probably not.

ETA: We won! Picked FQR. Will open a cookie later this evening and start on it.

Total: 5495 NP, +11 str, +6 def, +6 HP, +4 level (27 useful stats total, 203.5 NP/useful stat)

Total savings from boon: -1305 NP

Day 3: Well, if my cookie keeps going so well, I won't care if I never use the boon!

Edit Day 4: Well, I used the boon. I'd still rather get 2 guaranteed levels than a 1/3 chance of movement, even though technically I came out the same in the long run. To me, it's worth any* price difference for that certainty.

*I mean, obviously not if the price difference were tens of thousands of NP, but I don't think there are any quest cards worth that much...

Don't really need Str, I am looking to even out level, defence and HP.
