Oh, once I ran into a hot wire. My grandma used to have horses, and she had a corrall with a hot wire that ran around it and across the gate so that the horses wouldn't run out when someone opened the gate. You had to duck underneath the hot wire whenever you went in or out, and one day I completely forgot it was there and literally ran into it while leaving. I hit it so hard I fell backwards onto the ground, and it gave me the most ridiculous burn/cut on my neck, which I've still got a scar from.
An electric fence? You've got a scar from an electric fence? Owch. I hit one once and I wound up flat on my back... but then electricity generally disagrees with my heart condition. LOL.
I was lighting a giant propane heater at work this summer. And I singed all my arm/eyebrow/eyelash/front hair due to the GIANT KABOOM of flame when the damn thing ifnally lit. I guess you're supposed to push the button THEN press the lighter not hold the button... wait the thirty seconds and then light it. Yeah... oops.
Here I go with another crazy summer camp story. We were going caving to this cave right next to a private horse farm. Along the edge of the property ran a electric wire. On our way in the cave it was off, so everyone just had to touch it.
On our way out though, it was turned on. Please keep in mind we are soaked from being up to our necks in muddy water! One kid named Will picks up a stick and pokes the fence. In sings the stick, and does the same. Knowing them they wanted to start a fire.
Unfortunately there was a small stream that ran near the cave were we were able to clean up. But the electric wire also ran along this creek. So while we were all cleaning off Will the stick dude goes and grabs the wire. Since he was also in the water, I'll say it wasn't very pleasant.
