Angels and Demons - Dan Brown.
Its a great book so far, but there are a bunch of things I don't understand, due to my lack of knowledge .

You knows it Igg. I am sorry but I thought pullman, was an overated writer. I thought his books lacked substance. His inital ideas are amazing, but the way the plot is laid out is terrible. Whilst reading the first book, I just wanted it to end, because I thought it was so terrible. Then I found out it was a series, and was annoyed, that I had started it. I hate to read a book, and not finish the series.

The writing of Dan brown, is debateable at the moment, I have read 3 of his books, and have truely only enjoyed one of them. Deception point, and that was only because it was about a computer virus. I enjoy computers alot, so stuff like that interested me. I find his story lines excellent, but the books are all the same. Some mysterious killer, some hidden master/benefactor, and the lead, and his love interest.

I also find that the endings are questionable, and seemed guessable, with about 10 - 15 chapters left, and yet it takes the characters up until the last chapter to work it out. Now I aint no Miss Marples, or JB Fletcher, but I have had all the endings correct so far. And I have to say that angels and demons has the worst ending so far, of the three.

Perhaps, I am just a critic. lol. I like a good twist, in the ending, and these seem to lack that. Considering they are suspense books, I believe, he needs to brush up on his endings, and maybe structure his books a little differently.

Right now I am on the Entire Stephen King's The Dark Tower Series, on The Waste Lands Part 3 right now. Almost done though, it is a REALLY kick @$$ book.

I'm not reading anything right now. The last thing I read was...... The Truth, by Terry Pratchett. I'm planning on reading David Copperfield next, because it took my brother 2 months to read it, and I think I can do it in a lot less.

I'm close to finishing 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West'. AWESOME book. Gregory Maguire (Actually, I loved him when I was younger, as I read his children's book series, the Hamlet chronicles... =P)

After this, I'll be reading 'A Distant Mirror' by Barbara Tuchman. (It's a history of the 14th century)

I'm actually reading two books, both are for school. One is "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. We're reading that in class. The second book I'm reading is "The Right Stuff" by Tom Wolfe. That is my independent reading book. (We had to pick out an author from a list and read a book) Both are very good.

Another book I would reccomend, but for a slightly older audience is american psycho. Probably a little too old for some people, but those looking to study english Literature will find it interesting.

I am currently reading a book by Guy Gavriel Kay (Think thats it) Its pretty good so far! Book isn't beside me so i don't remember the title!

Have you read White Noise? It's pretty good, although DeLillo's not an easy author. Hopefully you'd like it.
