Okay..I use to think i was a relativly funny person...but apparently I am sooo not funny...Any clues on how to make this guy laugh? Please be as specific as possible because tips like "it has to make sense" while appreciated, don't really help. Thanks.

There are no tips.

It's completely random, ALL THE TIME.

If you want to get the Jester avatar, you have to tell him this joke: "What do you do if fierce Peophins has eaten too much tin of olives?" And even then, getting him to laugh is random.

I got the king into hysterics 2 days in a row this week..he told me i was brilliant! They were completely random words..made no sense...but I didn't get the avi till he threw me out for the worst joke he'd ever heard! once again..just random wods.. good luck

The best tip I can give is make sure you do a diverse choosing pattern that occasionally leaves out sections. I seem to get more from him when I do one that nobody else has done for awhile.

I don't even understand the selection of words you can choose. Has anyone ever made an even slightly funny joke with the words? I've been trying for a while, but my brain refuses to be witty.

Well... maybe you guys need to look closer. Its not supposed to be a joke. You're trying to give him "information"

But beyond that. Its probably nothing but pure randomness. just put weird words in and see what happens.
