That not-so-nice looking zafara holding his mouth open leads me to think otherwise but it very well could be a ruse since they've both been conspiring and all...but Masila seems like the person who'd betray everybody so who knows whats going on

LOL.... She's a double double-crosser... or triple... The plot is really the only interesting part of the news, and even then, it's still pretty disjointed.

She's going to pit Kanrik against Galem in one final battle I think (the wine might be some strength potion to outbrute-- since it does appear Kanrick has a good idea what's happening). Somehow this is going to get Kanrik and Galem out of the picture.
