Err, this isn't a rumour, it's a fact. Ever since the petpets gone missing... thing... petpets can eat food if you refresh enough in your inventory.

This is how the Drackonack Cheese avatar is made possible :) (It's not just Drackonacks that can eat food!)

We're talking the safety deposit box, not the inventory. Things are supposed to be safe in the SDB. If the Snicklebeast eat's it it's kinda ruins the safety.
