Do you think Neo should make a Mini Lab Ray for zapping petpets?

Given these condidtions:

The entire set costs about 200k
Once a day
There will be an avatar

No, I don't think so. Petpets aren't nearly as important as the actual neopets. Petpets don't have genders, and, aside level, they don't have stats. The only thing a mini ray would be able to do is change species/ color/level. IMO, that's just not worth 200k. ESPECIALLY considering there's a big chance that your petpet won't change how you want it too. It'd just be easier to buy a new petpet.

No, I agree with what White_Wolf said. It wouldn't be worth paying 200k to change species, color, or gender of a petpet. PERHAPS 100k-150k, but not up quite so high.

I think most of the people on Neopets wouldn't want to spend 200k on something like that. I'm not sure if they'd want to spend even 100k on it.

If my petpets weren't so awesome and expensive, I'd buy a petpet lab and use it.
It'd be a good way to match up a lab rat's petpet - make them both lab rats!

As for the PPL, there must be a way to code it so only petpets that were always one species get counted. They can count how many pets were created minus the ones made into species by morphing potions...

Eh, I can see some problems with the ray. Good idea though, but I don't tihnk it would fly. You could make a LOT of NP that way though. Buy a super cheap petpet and zap it untill it becomes a Faerie Krawk.

Which would lower the value of not only krawks, but ANY rare petpet. It's not exactly fair for someone who spent loads of np for a pet krawk, and then all of a sudden the rest of Neopia can get one with a mini ray if luck is on their side.

Maybe it'd be a bit better if Krawks were either excluded/made EXTREMELY rare from it, but either way my vote still sticks as no.

Umm.. People get Krawks and Draiks from real lab rays.

I've seen people get Mutant Draiks, which cost 3 million, from the lab.

out of about 300 petpets, it seems REALLY hard to get a krawk from that, but i see your point

There's a difference between having a pet that's rare and having a petpet that's rare. People would use the mini lab ray to make rare petpets and sell them which would only be stealing from those people who legitimatly obtained petpet paintbrushes and rare petpets

I made a comic about a petpet lab ray once . . .

it didn't go over well.

I have the lab ray and I think there should be one but it should not have big concequences and it should let you choose what you want done. MY pet was SIlver Shoryu to Red Flotsam!
