Until it attaches. It took me 3 days for my breebly (it was on and off refreshing, of course) about 3 hours for my cooty, and about 30 minutes for my mootix. You can either hit F5 or manually refresh, but I got my petpetpet attached a lot quicker when I manually refreshed.

Hundreds. Seriously...mine took over 500 refreshes. Hold down F5 for a while, or just keep it in your inventory and it'll eventually attach.

well... if you go to certain parts of neopia the petpetpet might be stolen or destroyed...

It can get stolen either way, it doesn't matter whatever you are in your inventory or in faerie land for example. Oh, and just be sure to put a lot of junk your inventory in case the pant devil comes.

this is how I got my mootix to attach, after 7 days of frustration, some nice person gave me this way.
I have windows xp and internet explorer, so I did this
I clicked on start, then on control panel, then on printers and other hardware, then on keyboard, then there is a slide thingy that says "repeat rate" move it all the way to the left. (slowest repeat rate) click apply then ok.. then go back and hold down your F5 button and in a matter of 5min that critter will have jumped on your petpet. then do all the steps back again and reset it to what the rate was prior to slowing it.
this seems to make the refresh rate go consistantly and evenly and make it work faster. this is in no way a cheat or anything.. its just adjusting the rates on your keyboard is all. goodluck..
