Lately I've noticed some similarities between various songs. For instance, if you take the beginning of "Come Clean" by Hilary Duff and play Linkin Park's "Numb" on top of it, you basically have the same rythmn aside from the fact that Hilary is more "bubble gummish".

I'll explain why:

Linkin Parks "Numb" beginning is slower than Hilary Duff's "Come Clean", but if you take out the extra beat in "Numb" and if you take out the extra small beat in "Come Clean", you can tell there's a similiarity between the two.

Anyone agree? Also, what similarities have you spotted for various songs?

Good observation! :O

I noticed Wrong by Kimberley Locke and Miss Independant by Kelly Clarkson sound kind of the same...

The Dance Dance Revolution songs God of Romance and Baby Love Me sound insanely similar at the beginning... Even though they're by the same person... XD

Other than that, haven't really noticed any observations.

Hmm.. all of Creed's songs sound alike to me. If there are no vocals, I can't distinguish which one is which.

The beginning of Lunacy Fringe by The Used and A Day In The Life by The Beatles. I think it's the bass that sounds so similar. I can hear it through the whole song.

The intro of Que Me Quedes Tu by Shakira sounds awfully like Hello, I Love You by The Doors.

The intro of Rape Me by Nirvana sounds just like their intro to Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Also, I recently made a rather amusing comparison of A Woman's Worth by Alicia Keys to Lala by Ashlee Simpson.

The first line of A Woman's Worth:
"You can buy me diamonds, you can buy me pearls."

The first line of Lala:
"You can dress me up in diamonds, you can dress me up in dirt."

The similarities end there, but... if Lala looks bad by itself, it looks way way worse next to a song that actually has some beauty to it.

Nickelback sounds the same as, well, Nickelback.

Every... single... song... the... same...

I have thought the same about NickelBack as well. And did anyone notice that "Home" and "I Hate Everything About You" both by Three Days Grace sound the same? If you take the chorus and take out the words, it's the same rythmn.

Maybe its just me, but does every single one of Ashlee Simpsons songs wound the same, with her screeching around. Singing wise, not beatwise.

Yeah! I got in an argument with a mate of mine over this. I was so sure The Used were covering them when I heard the beat..but they wern't. I think it may just be sampling, but I'm still not sure.

Maestro and the Who, "These Eyes" they sound oddly familiar
You're my hero if you get this joke.

You know, if you play two of their songs at exactly the same time, one backwards and one forwards, they have the same guitar patterns. Pretty sad o_o
