I sat in the theater - alone
Staring at blank screens,
As they flashed before solemn eyes.
Unbelieving, I was frozen,
Planted in the same spot
In the viewing-room of my mind,
Where my last few friends left me,
Wallowing in what they called self-pity.
They're not coming back
And the film will never roll,
But worse than that,
I don't care.
