Hmm he escaped the execution. Scott would have said if it was a shield that saved him no? I'm thinking a baddie SP or something?

I don't think it was protection. Because Scott didn't even fire. He just aimed and then gave up.

It had to be stopped. Or Scott was hypnotized or something.
